Our Commitment

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is committed to the ongoing professional support and growth of our teachers. Teachers working in Bonneville Joint School District 93 are provided with rich professional development opportunities, including workshops, collaboration, and mentoring in an effort to enable all students to meet or exceed academic standards.

Non-employees are eligible to participate in professional development.  The fee for non-employees is $100 per class, plus the cost per credit.

Participants may sign up for classes via email.  There must be a minimum of twelve (12) participants to hold a class. Once the minimum participation has been met, the Department of Curriculum and Instruction will register the course with a sponsoring university.

Earning Credit

Attendees are responsible for registering online with the sponsoring university if they wish to earn credit for a professional development course.  Please register on or before the first day of class.  You will not be able to register for credit once the class has ended.

State of Idaho Recertification Requirements

In-Service Hours

In-service hours may be used for recertification purposes as a substitute for up to three (3) of the six (6) semester credit hours required for certificate renewal. Fifteen (15) contact hours are equivalent to one (1) in-service hour.

In-service hours must be documented on Form B7 - Verification of Completion of Equivalent In-Service and submitted to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction no more than 90 calendar days after the end date of the in-service activity.  In-service hours cannot be used towards advancement on the salary schedule.
